Welcome back to another monthly edition of DVT!
We’ve slowed down on publishing a bit as personal commitments have picked up, but rest assured—we’re still traveling, planning, and hunting for the best deep value tips to share with you all.
We recently wrapped up a fun trip to Spain with friends and can’t wait to share our experiences, especially our stay at the Grand Hyatt Barcelona. Stay tuned for the full trip report and hotel review soon!

Solo Traveler Beware: Airline Upcharges
According to recent reports from Thrifty Traveler and The Points Guy, major U.S. airlines (United, American, Delta) are charging higher fares to solo travelers than to those booking in groups. United x JetBlue Partnership
United and JetBlue have announced the new “Blue Sky” loyalty partnership, allowing MileagePlus and TrueBlue members to earn and redeem across both programs. This is especially great news for Northeast travelers. United also confirmed plans to return to JFK in 2027.
Credit Card Promotions
American Airlines Executive World Elite Mastercard Promo
American Airlines is offering a limited-time bonus on the American Airlines Executive World Elite mastercard: earn 100,000 AAdvantage miles after spending $10,000 in the first 3 months.
While the $595 annual fee and spend requirement are steep, AAdvantage miles are among the most valuable airline currencies—especially for booking Qatar Qsuite or JAL First Class at excellent redemption rates (often 50k–100k one-way).
If you fly American often or want premium international travel on points, this offer is worth a closer look.
IHG One Rewards Credit Card Limited Time Offer
Both Chase IHG One Rewards credit cards are having limited time offers. Here are the current elevated bonuses:
IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card: Earn 5 Free Nights after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
IHG One Rewards Traveler Credit Card: Earn 120,000 Bonus Points after spending $2,000 on purchases within the first 3 months of account opening.
IHG has a broad hotel network, and we’ve personally enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Indigo Lower East Side, NYC. Solid offers if you’re looking to pad your IHG balance!

Tip of the Month: Use Award Search Tools
When hunting for award availability, use tools like:
Roame Travel
Point.me
Seats.aero
All three offer free tiers and can help you screen award space across multiple programs. Once you find space, cross-check with the airline’s website before booking.
That’s all for this month, thanks for reading and supporting DeepValueTravel!
