News
There are currently some fantastic elevated sign-on bonuses available:
World of Hyatt 5 Free Nights (link to card)
The Chase World of Hyatt credit card is offering a historic high sign-on bonus of 5 free nights after spending $4,000 in 3 months. Typically, this card offers a flat 60k points sign-on bonus, so this is an excellent deal if you plan on traveling soon. These certificates are valid at category 1-4 Hyatt properties. You can view a list of qualifying hotels on the Hyatt website (link).
With an annual fee of $95, the card itself is considered a keep card as you receive an anniversary free night certificate each year you hold the card. If you are under the Chase 5/24 rule, this is a great card to consider!
Chase Sapphire Preferred 60k + $300 (referral link)
Chase Sapphire Preferred (CSP) is a card that’s been in our wallet for a while. It allows us to combine all of our Chase points and transfer them to partners such as Hyatt and Air France. Right now, you can earn 60k Chase UR points plus a $300 Chase Travel statement credit for spending $4,000 in 3 months. If you are a frequent reader of our blog, you will know that this is one of our favorite credit cards. You can read about how we use the CSP in our 2024 credit card setup article.
The Hawaiian Airlines World of Elite Mastercard (link to card)
Last newsletter we mentioned the Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines merger. For those who are interested in getting more Alaska Airlines miles, the Hawaiian Airlines World Elite Mastercard is still offering 70k miles after spending $2,000 within the first 90 days. This is an extremely valuable and attainable offer to quickly earn some Alaska miles (Hawaiian miles transfer 1:1 to Alaska after the merger).
Chase Ink Business Unlimited 90k points (referral link)
A lot of people find Chase points hard to accumulate and have asked us for tips on getting more Chase points. One way to earn more Chase points is through opening Chase business cards. Anyone can open a Chase business card as a sole proprietor with the intention of starting a business. Business cards are not only great for their large sign-on bonuses, but they also don’t count toward the Chase 5/24 rules. Currently, Chase Ink Unlimited is offering a 90k sign-on bonus for spending $6,000 in 3 months. This is a great deal to consider if you can meet the spending requirements.

Tip of the Month
Avoid credit card upgrade offers. Instead of upgrading (e.g., Amex Gold to Amex Platinum), apply directly for a new card to maximize your sign-on bonus. If you're planning to close a card, make sure you use all the credits before doing so. Accepting an upgrade offer often means missing out on a larger sign-on bonus and the flexibility to close your existing card at a more favorable time.
